11. MESCALINE CACTI AND THE DUTCH LAW
1. Are Mescaline Cacti Drugs ?
Mescaline Cacti belong to drugs because they have hallucinogenic effects.
Therefore, another name for Mescaline Cacti is drug-Cacti.
Mescaline Cacti contain the psychoactive alkaloid Mescaline.
There is a relatively high amount of Mescaline in Mescaline Cacti.
2. The Opium Act and Mescaline Cacti
Mescaline Cacti are not on list 1 or list 2 of the Dutch Opium Act.
This means that Mescaline Cacti can be freely grown, traded and transported in the Netherlands.
The government apparently does not see Drug Cacti as dangerous.
3. Mescaline and the Opium Act
Mescaline Cacti do contain Mescaline, which as a substance is mentioned in the Opium Act.
Mescaline as a substance (chemical compound) is not allowed to be processed, traded or transported.
