Deze Cactussen hebbe 4 of 5 ribben en zeer lange centrale (midden) doorns.
3. Echinopsis lageniformis varieteit lageniformis.
De stam heeft de vorm van een knots met 6 of 7 ribben, en veel korte doorns.

VORMEN VAN ECHINOPSIS LAGENIFORMIS
Er bestaan verschillende vormen van Echinopsis lageniformis.
1. Echinopsis lageniformis monstervorm
= Echinopsis lageniformis forma monstruosus.
= penis-cactus = Frauengluck in het Duits.
= Echinopsis lageniformis forma monstrosus (in het Engels).

De ribben ontbreken vaak bij deze monstervorm, waardoor de stam een geheel ronde vorm heeft. Het monstervormige lichaam heeft aan de onderkant nog doorns. Maar vanaf het midden van het Cactus-lichaam ontbreken de doorns.
2. Echinopsis lageniformis "Cactus van de vier windstreken" .
= Cactus van de vier winden
= "Cactus of the four winds" in het Engels.
Deze zeldzame en bijzondere vorm van de San Pedro Cactus heeft maar vier ribben.
Wordt als zeer magisch en heilig beschouwd door inheemse shamanen in Zuid-Amerika.
Bij San Pedro ceremonies wordt aan een 4-ribbige San Pedro Cactus bijzondere bovennatuurlijke krachten toegeschreven,
omdat elke rib naar een windrichting wijst.
2. Echinopsis lageniformis kamvorm
= Echinopsis lageniformis forma cristatus.
= Bolivian Torch Cactus cristaat of waaiervorm.
= Achuma Cactus cristaat of waaiervorm.
3. Echinopsis lageniformis vorm met dichter bij elkaar staande kleinere doorns
Maar heeft ook langere doorns.
4. Echinopsis lageniformis vorm met minder ribben
Deze vorm heeft brede ondiepe verlagingen tussen de ribben.
Sommige doorns zijn veel langer en zijn minder aanwezig op de Cactus.
De vormen 3 en 4 zijn vaak aanwezig op dezelfde Bolivian Torch Cactus.

UITLEG BIJ ONZE MESCALINE CACTUSSEN
Afmetingen
De vermelde afmetingen zijn minimum-afmetingen.
Een stek van 7+ cm betekent dus een lengte van minstens 7 cm.
Afkortingen
STEK = onbewortelde stek (afgesneden zijtak). In het Engels: cutting.
PLANT = goed bewortelde plant in een pot.
PLANT IN POT = goed bewortelde plant in een pot.
Stek
Onze Mescaline Cactussen worden aangeboden als:
1. Dikke sterke stek zonder wortels (cutting).
Om zelf op te potten, of om op te eten ..... !
Een stek maakt wortels na 4 tot 6 weken, waarna de bewortelde Mescaline Cactus verder groeit.
Stekken (cuttings) van Echinopsis (Trichocereus) Cactus soorten :
-- zijn tot zo'n 15 cm lengte veel dikker, zwaarder en sterker dan gezaaide Mescaline Cactussen (zaailingen),
-- bezitten een dikkere buitenste weefsellaag (Chlorenchym-laag), waarin het Mescaline-gehalte het hoogst is.
2. Goed bewortelde Cactus in een pot.
Een Cactus met wortels groeit bij u thuis meteen verder !
Een bewortelde Mescaline Cactus kopen scheelt:
ompotten, bewortelen, vervorming door een groei-stop, en mogelijk verlies door infecties en verrotting.

NADELEN VAN GEZAAIDE MESCALINE CACTUSSEN
1. Gezaaide Mescaline Cactussen groeien de eerste jaren vaak op onder beschermde omstandigheden.
Ze worden vaak afgeschermd tegen zon, staan meestal warm, worden beschermd met bestrijdingsmiddelen.
Deze zogenaamde "kasplantjes" zijn dunner, wateriger, minder sterk, hebben dunnere en lichtere doorns.
Deze "kasplantjes" zijn daarom gevoeliger voor minder optimale omstandigheden.
2. Jonge zaailingen van Mescaline Cactussen lijken vaak niet op oudere planten van dezelfde soort.
Jonge gezaaide zaailingen van verschillende soorten Mescaline Cactussen lijken de eerste jaren vaak op elkaar.
In beide gevallen is het dus niet duidelijk tot welke soort Mescaline Cactus de zaailing behoort.
Daarom leveren wij alle Echinopsis (Trichocereus) soorten als dikke sterke stek en als goed bewortelde plant in een pot.
