WHY CACTUS FERTILISER ?
Cactus fertiliser is low in nitrogen (N) and is specifically intended for fertilising Cacti.
Cacti grow with Cactus fertiliser in a naturally compact and stocky form.
Together with calcium nitrate fertiliser (= nitrogen fertiliser), this Cactus fertiliser is suitable for all plants.
For example, Cactus fertiliser has an N-P-K-Mg ratio of 7-17-35-3 , so with relatively little N (nitrogen).
The extra Magnesium (Mg) is needed for the formation of chlorophyll.
Magnesium is an important nutrient, not a trace element that is minimally needed by a plant !
Most combination fertilisers do not contain Magnesium !
Application of Cactus fertiliser
Only use Cactus fertiliser for Mescaline Cacti and other Cacti.
Use Cactus fertiliser together with calcium nitrate fertiliser for:
-- faster growth of Mescaline Cacti and other Cacti.
-- normal growth of succulents and houseplants.
Nitrogen
With too much nitrogen (N), Cacti will continue to grow elongated, limp and glossy green.
The tissue of over-fertilised Cacti becomes weaker and contains more water (moisture).
These Cacti become more susceptible to diseases, pests, pests, heat, cold.
Eventually, the Cactus will break at the thinner and flabbier elongated part of the stem.
Extra nitrogen
With a little calcium nitrate fertiliser added to the Cactus manure, you can give extra nitrogen (N) .
With extra nitrogen (N), Cacti will grow faster and more elongated.
So do not give Cacti too much nitrogen!
Application of the Cactus fertiliser
Only use Cactus fertilizer for Mescaline and other Cacti.
Use Cactus fertiliser together with calcium nitrate fertiliser for:
-- faster growth of Mescaline Cacti and other Cacti.
-- normal growth of succulents and houseplants.
Why fertilizer?
A special fertiliser contains:
1. a better-tuned ratio of required nutrients.
As a result, there is less waste due to a surplus of some nutrients.
A surplus of certain nutrients can inhibit a Mescaline Cactus in its growth and flowering.
2. No animal ingredients, and therefore no dangerous bacteria.
Some bacteria can be harmful to humans when consumed.
Farmyard manure and cow dung contain very high levels of animal bacteria, and can be dangerous if consumed by humans.

FERTILISERS
1. Complete Cactus fertiliser with N - P - K - Mg = 7 - 17 - 35 - 3
Water-soluble complete fertiliser containing all nutritional elements.
Contains relatively little nitrogen (N), which makes it especially suitable for cacti.
Cacti retain their natural stocky appearance.
Too much nitrogen (N) makes cacti grow more elongated, thin and slack.
This complete Cactus fertiliser contains all necessary main fertilisers (N,P,K) as well as :
1.1 3% Magnesium (Mg), also a main/fertiliser required for the formation of chlorophyll.
1.2 Iron (Fe) in an easily absorbed chelated form, also needed for the formation of chlorophyll.
1.3 All necessary essential trace elements in an easily absorbable chelate form such as:
Boron (B), Molybdenum (Mo), Copper (Cu), Manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn).
2. Lime-Salpetre = Nitrogen fertiliser for length growth
The Nitrogen (N) in the Lime-Salpetre is responsible for length growth.
The more Nitrogen, the faster, longer and thinner Cacti will grow.
Chemical formula: Ca [ (NO3)2 ]
Chemical name: calcium-nitrate.

COMBINE CACTUS FERTILISER AND CALCIUM NITRATE FERTILISER
This two-part combination fertiliser is suitable for all plants: Cacti, Succulents and Houseplants.
The ratio between them makes the fertiliser usable as:
Cactus fertiliser, Succulent fertiliser, Succulent fertiliser, Houseplant fertiliser.
Ratio of fertilisers
The two fertilisers can be used in any ratio, and also each separately.
Depending on the ratio between them, usable as:
1. Complete Cactus Fertiliser - give only Cactus Fertiliser for slow and natural stocky growth of all Cacti.
2. Cactus fertiliser for faster growth - give Cactus fertiliser and more calcium nitrate fertiliser, maximum ratio 1 : 1 .
3. Succulent fertiliser = Succulent fertiliser - Give Cactus fertiliser and calcium nitrate fertiliser in equal parts.
4. Houseplant fertiliser - Give Cactus fertiliser and Calcium nitrate fertiliser in equal parts.
Ratio of fertilisers and growth
The normal ratio for Mescaline Cacti and Cacti is 100% Cactus fertiliser and 0% calcium nitrate fertiliser.
The normal ratio for Succulents (not Cacti) and Houseplants is equal amounts of both fertilisers (50% / % 50%).
If plants grow too little, give less or no Cactus fertiliser (1), and more or only Lime-Salpetre (2).
If plants grow too quickly, give more or only Cactus fertiliser (1), and less or no calcium nitrate fertiliser (2).

DOSAGE OF FERTILISERS
Concentration of fertilisers
Give a maximum of 1 gram of solid fertiliser per litre of water.
For seedlings, cuttings and calm growth 0.5 grams of fertiliser per litre of water.
Frequency of fertilisation
Fertilise at most once a month by dissolving the fertiliser in the pouring water.
Frequency of watering
Water about 2x per month, so about every fortnight.
Depending on the conditions in the place where the Mescaline Cacti are growing,
you can choose shorter or longer intervals.
Do not water from 1 October to 1 March, as cacti then go into hibernation !
Measuring the fertilisers
Use a small or large spoon made of plastic or metal.
You can buy a spoon in different sizes at a shop selling household goods.
Make sure you know the weight of a measured spoonful of fertiliser of both fertilisers !
Calibrate dosing spoon
Since both fertilisers have different specific weights, you need to calibrate the spoon for both fertilisers.
First scoop a full leveled spoonful of fertiliser into container or bag, or on a piece of paper, 10 times or more.
Weigh the fertiliser, and divide the weight of the fertiliser by the number of scoops of fertiliser.
You will then know the weight of one leveled spoonful of fertiliser.
N.B.
If you use a container to weigh the fertiliser, you need to reduce the weight of the container with fertiliser
with the weight of the empty tray !
Then divide the weight of the scooped fertiliser by the number of measured spoonfuls of fertiliser you have scooped.
Then you have the weight of 1 spoonful of fertiliser.

OTHER FERTILISERS
Iron chelate !
Iron Chelat combats yellowing of leaves due to iron deficiency.
With enough iron, plants make more leaf green (chlorophyll) and greener leaves.
Plants with greener leaves:
-- assimilate better.
-- grow and flower better.

FERTILISATION OF OTHER PLANTS
Fertilising succulents = Succulents (not Cacti)
Succulents (= non-Cacti) need more nutrients, especially more Nitrogen (N) than Cacti.
Therefore fertilise more often (twice a month 0.5 grams per Litre), or in a higher concentration (maximum 1 gram / Litre).
Give equal amounts (50% / % 50%) of both fertilisers (Cactus fertiliser and calcium nitrate fertiliser).
Fertilising houseplants
Houseplants need more nutrients, especially more Nitrogen (N) than Cacti.
Therefore, fertilise more often (twice a month), or in a higher concentration (maximum 1 gram / Liter).
Give equal amounts of both fertilisers (Cactus fertiliser (1) and calcium nitrate fertiliser (2) ) (50% / % 50%).
