Trichocereus macrogonus is an old name for Trichocereus peruvianus.

The name macrogonus is therefore no longer accepted as an official name.

Trichocereus = hairy cereus. The flowers have long brown-black hairs.

macrogonus = with long or large ribs, with long or large angles.

Origin

The origin of this Cactus is uncertain.

The 1849 description was based on a Cactus in the Berlin Botanical Garden.

The natural finding place of this Cactus was unknown.

Just wanted to let you know that I prepared about 90cm and this one was insanely strong.

I normally charge 40cm per person,

we about 2 people finished 55cm and that was enough.

I was glad I felt 2 hours first before we took the second half.

It would also have been difficult for me to guide if we had taken it all.

My traveller was a first timer and had his hands full, couldn't have handled more.

This is how I want people to feel what the cactus does.

I have been to several traditional ceremonies but never was the cactus so strong.

Then the real quality of the cactus doesn't come up but this cactus, wow.
