IRON CHELATE FE-EDDHA 6% - 250 GRAMS

CHARACTERISTICS OF IRON CHELATE-EDDHA 6%
Chemical formula: Fe-EDDHA.
Composition: microgranules (= very fine granules, produced by grinding).
Usability: from an acidity pH = 4 to pH = 10.

Iron content (Fe): 6%
Base/acid input: Neutral.
Sensitivity: Fe-EDDHA is sensitive to light, which can cause the iron chelate to break down. 

ACIDITY AND IRON CHELATE
The acidity (pH) of the nutrient solution is important when using iron chelate.
At low or high acidity levels:
-- the bond between the iron and the chelate can be broken.
-- the chelate itself break down and disintegrate.

N.B. In soil with a pH below 7, it is better to use iron chelate DTPA 7%.
Fe-DTPA is cheaper and works better at a pH of 7.

APPLICATION OF IRON CHELATE FE-EDDHA 6% 
1. Sprinkle Fe-EDDHA 6% on soil that is neutral to slightly alkaline.
Then rinse the iron chelate into the soil with water.

2. Dissolve Fe-EDDHA 6% in the water used to water your plants.
Then water your plants or water them from below.
Rinsing is not necessary.

DOSAGE OF IRON CHELATE FE - EDDHA 6%

N.B. The iron chelate must be dissolved in water.

1. IRON CHELATE IN OUR CACTUS FERTILISER / CARRION FLOWER FERTILISER
Our Cactus Fertiliser / Carrion Flower Fertiliser contains 0.15% Fe ((= 0.0015 Fe).
The maximum dosage is 1 gram of Cactus Fertiliser / Deadhead Fertiliser per litre of water.
In other words, 1 gram of Cactus Fertiliser contains 0.0015 grams of Fe per litre of water.

Our Cactus Fertiliser / Deadhead Fertiliser probably contains slightly too little absorbable iron at a pH below 7.
You can remedy this by adding extra Fe-DTPA 7% (effective up to pH = 7).

2. IRON CHELATE IN OTHER FERTILISERS
Other fertilisers contain, for example, 0.07% and 0.25% iron (Fe).

3. CAUTIOUS DOSAGE
Start with a low dosage and observe the effect.
If there is sufficient iron, the plant will produce green leaves at the top.

3.2 Careful dosage of iron chelate Fe-EDDHA 6%
Add 0.15% gram of iron per litre of water.
Either 100/6 x 0.15% = 0.025 grams of iron chelate Fe-EDDHA 7% per 1 litre of water.
Or 10 x 100/7 x 0.15% = 0.25 grams of iron chelate Fe-EDDHA 7% per 10 litres of water.

4. CONTINUOUS DOSAGE OF FE-DTPA 7%

4.2 Continuous application of Fe-EDDHA 6%
Plants can probably use more FE (iron), e.g. 0.25% iron.
Therefore, add at least 0.15% iron per litre of water.
Or at least 100/6 x 0.15% = 0.042 grams of iron chelate Fe-EDDHA 7% per litre of water.
Or at least 10 x 100/7 x 0.15% = 0.42 grams of iron chelate Fe-EDDHA 7% per 10 litres of water.

5. SINGLE APPLICATION
1 gram of iron chelate in 10 litres of water.
