Form of the Peruvian Torch Cactus from the San Marcos region (Ancash Department, northern Peru).
Cultivation method
Slowly grown from seed, with winter temperatures down to minus 9 a minus 10 degrees Celsius.
Current state
Not yet fully rooted Peruvian Torch Cactus in a pot.
Grows at home immediately, in a spacious well-rooted pot about 10 cm in the first year.
After that, grow 20 - 30 cm or more in length per year.
Peruvian Torch Cacti are flowerable from about 30 cm in length, provided they get enough sun!
