Peruvian Torch Cactus - Huancabamba, Peru - 15+ cm - CUTTINGM. Medium Cutting of a STRONG Peruvian Torch form from Huancabamba (northern Peru). Article code: CATRPEH-S15
TRICHOCEREUS PERUVIANUS - HUANCABAMBA, PERU
= PERUVIAN TORCH CACTUS
Green to grey-blue columnar cactus with long central spines
This San Pedro Cactus form originates from the Huancabamba region of Peru.
This region is known for its high quality San Pedro Cacti.
The Mescaline content is probably even higher than in Trichocereus pachanoi !
This form has shorter and thinner spines than the common Peruvian Torch Cactus.
Only later do longer spines of about six centimetres in length or more develop.
Each areole (= thorn cushion) has beige-brown felt (wool) on the top.
And also a V-shaped groove above the areole.
Description
Medium size and cheap cutting to root and cultivate yourself.
After 4-6 weeks, the cutting makes new roots, which continue to grow and branch out into the cactus soil.
The rooted cutting grows about 10 centimetres in length in the first year.
From the second year, a well-rooted cutting in a spacious pot grows about 30 cm or more per year.
Trichocereus peruvianus Cacti can flower from about 30 cm in length, provided they get enough sun!
Thick, strong green to blue-green cuttings from large plants.
These cuttings have a thicker green chlorenchyme layer than sown plants.
This layer of tissue under the epidermis contains relatively the most Mescaline.
Cuttings can be rooted in our special San Pedro Cactus soil !
