Naturally raised blue-green to grey-blue coloured flat Peyote Cactus.
The areoles (thorn pads) in the centre have white wool, which means the Peyote is flowering.
This strong Peyote Cactus plant is grown in full sun in a pot.
Winter temperatures down to minus 8 degrees Celsius.
Summer temperatures up to around 60 degrees Celsius.
Peyote description
The Peyote is the main Mescaline Cactus species with the highest Mescaline content.
Contains more than 50 other species of alkaloids in addition to Mescaline.
Root of the Peyote
The Peyote Cactus possesses a thick white peony-shaped root.
This Peyote root is sometimes as thick as the above-ground blue-green head.
The Peyote root can make new heads if the blue-green head (= Peyote button) is cut off.
Areoles on the Peyote Cactus
The areole (thorn cushion) is a special growth point on the Peyote Cactus.
It is the white tips with white hairs with which a the Peyote Cactus is covered.
From the areole grow the white woolly hairs, as well as the pale pink flower and the dark pink fruits.
The hairy wool protects the Peyote's flower and seed berry.
Flowering of the Peyote Cactus
The flower of the Peyote grows from an areole (= thorn cushion) in the centre.
