Small Mescaline Cacti for ornamental purposes
1. The Peyote remains small: about 10 cm in diameter per head and several centimetres high.
The Peyote blooms with small pink flowers about 3 cm in diameter.
They also produce elongated pink berries with seeds.
If you have limited space, choose a beautiful flowering Peyote Cactus!
2.San Pedro Cacti grow about 20-30 cm tall and do not flower.
They grow in the shape of a semi-circular symmetrical comb that is beautiful to see.
3. The Super Monstrous forms grow about 20-30 cm tall and wide and continue to grow erratically.

Peyote Cacti (Lophophora williamsii)
|
|
Peyote Cacti are semi-spherical and grow to about 10 cm in diameter.
They have a pale pink flower, grow slowly, and make few or no side-heads.
|
||
Some Peyote Cacti have a dark-pink to lilac-pink flower.
|
||
This Peyote form has nodules and is probably stronger.
|
||
Other Peyote forms make many new side-heads.
|
||
Indians called all Cacti that were not the real Peyote a False Peyote.
If you want a small False Mescaline Cactus, choose the False Peyote.

Columnar San Pedro Cacti for ornamental use
|
|
San Pedro is the Spanish name for tall mind-expanding Cacti from South America.
This includes several botanical species with short to long thorns.
They can grow about 5 metres tall, but cutting off or sawing off can always be done. ;-)
They flower from about 30 cm high with large beautiful white flowers.

If you want long thorns and a grey-blue Cactus, choose the beautiful Bolivian Torch.

This beautiful species is grey to light blue in colour, and has up to 10 cm long thorns.
They have a different number of ribs.
