The Super Pedro is a cross (cultivar) between several Echinopsis (Trichocereus) species.

The Super Pedro has distinct short protruding thorns.

Mutation with the Bald San Pedro Cactus

So the Super Pedro is not the Bare San Pedro (= Echinopsis scopulicola, Trichocereus scopulicola).

The Bald San Pedro is a true species with up to 1 mm long thorns.

These mini-spines are almost imperceptible and barely visible.

Origin of the Super Pedro

This cross comes from the Cactus Nursery and Cactus Garden Cactus Country in Australia.

They came up with the name Super Pedro for this cross.

They also say it is a cross (cultivar).

Cultivar = cultivated cross between two species.

Natural cross = cross between two species created in nature.

Just wanted to let you know that I prepared about 90cm and this one was insanely strong.

I normally charge 40cm per person,

we about 2 people finished 55cm and that was enough.

I was glad I felt 2 hours first before we took the second half.

It would also have been difficult for me to guide if we had taken it all.

My traveller was a first timer and had his hands full, couldn't have handled more.

This is how I want people to feel what the cactus does.

I have been to several traditional ceremonies but never was the cactus so strong.

Then the real quality of the cactus doesn't come up but this cactus, wow.
